Shark Bay 2022

In August 2022 we set off on the trip up north, following the white lines with the camper trailer and the boat in tow. The front of the convoy was the Toyota Prado which was towing the camper trailer and closely behind was a Ford Ranger which was towing the Stacer 525 boat.

The first stop was shark bay, after roughly 8 hours of driving we pulled up into the camp site in Monkey Mia. Unfortunately the weather on the way up was terrible and for about 80% of the trip we were dealing with heavy rain. Luckily the weather settled and the sun came out as we got to our camp site. We quickly moved, parked the boat and set up the camper with a goal of having an explore while enjoying some well deserved ice cold beers. We were greeted on banks with some beautiful dolphins who were fishing the shallows.

We were hoping to head out fishing but once again the weather had other plans! So we jumped into the Prado and went exploring around Francois Peron National Park. What a beautiful spot the national park is. The contrast between the deep red banks and the blue crystal clear waters is amazing.
